  • Shannon (AJ-L) attacked the Eder dam between 01:30 and 02:00 (17/05/43)
  • He had four attempts to get into position to release his Upkeep on the tricky bombing run to the Eder dam
  • Without success, Gibson told him to wait while Maudslay (AJ-Z) attempted his run
  • Maudslay had two attempts and could not get into position either
  • Gibson called Shannon back in for another attempt
  • This time he managed to release his Upkeep - it exploded on contact with the dam but did not cause a breach
